Although News Corp hasn’t been able to get liscence for broadcasting TV program in China, there are many fans of Fox TV’s hit TV drama “Prison Break” in China. It only takes about twelve hours after the broadcast in the U.S. for these Chinese audiance to get their hands on the new espisode combined with Chinese subtitles. With that in mind, I should never be surprised by the pace of Chineserization in the Web2.0 world.
Lane Crawford Closed in Shanghai
WSJ reported that Hong Kong luxury goods retailer Lane Crawford has closed its flagship store in Shanghai. In fact, we are actively looking at expanding in Beijing and Shanghai, and really beefing up our presence.” Whether it is ture or not, we’ll see. I was at the store last month. I guess it is safe to say that people like the tender beaf more than the buttery soft leather of Bottega Veneta handbags.
