The Long Tail Secret: Making it Relevant
Mindmeters recently puts out a nice primer on The Long Tail. For those who are not familiar with The Long Tail, it is a concept pioneered by Wired Magazine editor-in-chief Chris Anderson. In his book that carries the same title, Anderson argues that certain internet age business model can overcome cost barriers associated with traditional product distribution and allow businesses to profit from merchandises that had traditionally been uneconomical to carry.
